Counting down to Sunday 🎓
We are so looking forward to celebrating the kind-hearted, bold, and brilliant Class of 2026, as sad as we are to see them go.
From their final Awards Day and senior balloons and college announcements, to their last day of school and the annual pancake breakfast, to exams and 5th Day Exhibition, to still hearing their voices and laughter in the halls as they put the finishing touches on their senior murals, to their senior sunrise...and sunset, this last month has been bright with traditions and important closing moments.
They have left their mark in every corner of this place. We can’t wait to celebrate them, hear their reflections, and share in the joy this Sunday. Here`s to you, Class of 2026 💙💛
This is what community looks like 💛
At Crossroads, relationships are at the center of everything. Students are known, supported, and challenged by teachers who show up not just in the classroom, but in the moments in between. The laughter in the halls, the collaboration across grades, the way students and faculty genuinely enjoy being together. It’s real, and you can feel it.
It’s a culture where students grow into themselves while being part of something bigger. Where curiosity is encouraged, voices are heard, and connection matters just as much as achievement.
Rolling admissions are open. Come see what it feels like to belong.
Our annual Middle School Science Symposium gives students their first opportunity to step into the role of researcher and presenter, sharing original work with faculty, parents, and high school students. It’s a moment where curiosity turns into confidence.
This year’s projects explored everything from volcanic eruptions and photosynthesis to the human eye, acid rain’s impact on plants and animals, simple machines, wind turbines, and global warming. Students built eggshell geodes, tested paper plane flight, created working phonographs, and so much more.
It’s not just about what they learn, it’s about how they learn to share it. Asking questions, explaining ideas, and standing behind their work.
We’re excited to welcome award-winning filmmaker and New York Times bestselling author Soman Chainani to Crossroads on Wednesday, May 20 📚✨🎬
In partnership with The Novel Neighbor (@novelneighbor), this is a special opportunity for families to hear directly from Soman about his creative process and career. Save the date—we hope you’ll join us!
Soman is the author of The School for Good and Evil series, a global phenomenon whose screen rights were acquired by Universal Studios with plans for a film trilogy. His film work has been screened at hundreds of festivals, and his storytelling spans both page and screen. A graduate of Harvard University (English & American Literature) and Columbia University (MFA Film), Soman brings a unique perspective on creativity and narrative.
From Crossroads to the WNBA 🎥🔥
Charlotte Vieth ’18 is making history as the first videographer for the Portland Fire, capturing the story of the team’s inaugural era. Her work builds on an impressive portfolio, including Saint Louis University basketball, HER Game Network, and Bucket List Creative.
Go Fire, and go Charlotte!
Still riding the high from last week’s 5th Day Exhibition ⚡️
Our building was buzzing as every single student stepped up to present—7 high school classes, 5 middle school classes, one shared experience of owning and showcasing their learning. At Crossroads, this isn’t a one-off moment. Through 5th Day, every student presents at least three times a year, building confidence, voice, and real-world skills along the way.
Highlights we’re still talking about: an Upcycle Fashion Show (including Paul H. ’27’s collection critiquing mainstream fashion’s relationship to subcultures), homemade gooey butter cake from “The History of Restaurants and Food in STL,” a blackbox theater transformed into a fully student-run dining experience, plus original films, music, video games, and more.
And in peak Crossroads fashion, our audience included some of our youngest visitors—several babies joined us (which we loved), including TWO alumni babies 🥹
Thank you for supporting 5th Day at Crossroads and for showing up so fully for our students.
This is what it looks like when students take the lead...and the whole community shows up for it.
Last Friday was our seniors last day of school, which we celebrated with one of our most beloved traditions: senior pancake breakfast! Mark was in his signature rainbow chef hat, and administrators served up some "2026" themed pancakes for our grads-to-be.
Don`t worry, they`ll still be on campus wrapping up AP exams, working on their murals, and of course, competing on Field Day! Be sure to give them lots of hugs and love as they look forward to graduation on Sunday, May 17.
After watching our student talent on the volleyball court during House games, we knew it was time...Crossroads boys volleyball has officially arrived! 🏐
In their very first season, the team has already notched a big win! Huge shoutout to our players for jumping in and making history, and to coaches Bob Beatrice and Karsen Jurenka for leading the way.
