Dates to Know

Our admissions process is designed to discover whether Crossroads is the right fit for your student and family. After inquiring, we'll guide you through a few simple steps: a family tour and interview, Student Spark Day, and applications for both Crossroads and Individualized Tuition. Completing everything on time ensures the best opportunity to receive Individualized Tuition and a place in our community, and we’ll be here to support you every step of the way.

You may go ahead and sign up for Open House and a Student Spark Day below, as well as familiarizing yourself with our school and Individualized Tuition applications.

Individualized tuition means that every family pays an equitable amount based on a variety of factors.

To apply for Individualized Tuition, please complete this online application through FACTS (a third-party organization that is widely used by independent schools across the nation). This application allows Crossroads to consider important elements of your family’s financial situation to determine the appropriate Individualized Tuition for you.

Required Application Materials

A strong application begins with a few important pieces. At Crossroads, we ask families to gather two letters of recommendation (one academic, one non-academic) and release three years of school records and transcripts, including any IEP documentation (if applicable). The SSAT is optional, but can be included if you feel it reflects your student’s strengths.

Please complete the Transcript Release Form included in the online application, which will be submitted to automatically to your child’s current school. The school representative will upload the transcripts and records to your child’s online application.

All applicants are required to provide three years of records. If a student has switched schools in the recent past, a transcript release form may need to be submitted to each individual school.

If your current school is unable to upload the transcripts and school records to the online application, they may be mailed directly from the sending school to Crossroads College Prep. Hand-delivered or unofficial transcripts will not be accepted. As is standard practice, the seal on every transcript’s mailing envelope needs to be signed by a school official.

We require one academic letter of recommendation from the teacher of your choice, preferably from one of your child’s core class teachers (Science, Math, English, Social Studies).

We also require one non-academic recommendation. This letter should come from an individual who knows your student outside of the classroom. The non-academic recommendation can come from a religious leader, scout leader, music instructor, dance teacher, camp counselor, etc.

Recommendations can be submitted directly on the online SSAT application.

We see your whole child, not just a test score.

We are proud to announce that our admission process is test-optional. Since 2020, more and more colleges have decided their admissions process will be test optional. Today, more than 80% of four-year colleges in the U.S. are test-optional. This simple change in admissions policy increases application rates, while making the process more equitable and supportive of a multiplicity of learning profiles.

If you are still having your child take the SSAT, you can find out more details about the composition of the test or order a test prep booklet here. To ensure that Crossroads receives a copy of your child’s scores, please fill in our school code (2672) when registering for the test.
