HAPPY BLACK HISTORY MONTH!!! 💚💛❤️🖤
Taking a moment to celebrate the impact Black individuals and movements have had on our city, country, and world feels especially vital this year. At Crossroads, an essential aspect of our yearly curriculum is learning about Black history, from books like Beloved and Brown Girl Dreaming, to walking the Delmar Divide, to celebrating advances made by Black scientists and philosophers. Crossroads is a place where students, faculty, and staff celebrate Black identity and center Black voices, where Black students know they can speak up because their feelings, opinions, and leadership matters.
This Black History month, our 5th Day Media and Design Team is working with our Black Student Union to bring you content they think is most important to learn and reflect on this Black History month. Stay tuned for more, and save the date for our LARGEST student planned, evening event at the end of the month: BLACK ARTS EXPLOSION (Friday, February 27).
