The Wednesday Notice: 6/6/18

adminUncategorized

Dear Friends,

Welcome to the final Wednesday Notice of the 2017-18 school year. Both our students and faculty have taken their leave of campus for the summer. The building is quiet and the pace has slowed, but the work goes on for those of us who will spend the summer months preparing for the year to come.

Here are a few of the major projects we have underway:

  • Thanks to a generous donation, we will improve both of our parking lots, and renovate our south kitchen, teachers’ lounge, and lower level bathrooms.
  • Strategic planning work has begun and will continue into the school year. See the forthcoming issue of Current Connections magazine for more information about our comprehensive planning process.
  • Our new School Director and Director of Admission, who have begun their work with grace and energy, will continue to familiarize themselves with our school and mission, and plan for the work of next year.

As for me, I will be representing Crossroads at the National Small Schools Conference in Philadelphia. I look forward to presenting at the conference, as well as learning from attendees from small, independent schools across the nation.

I’ll close by expressing my sincere gratitude for the role you play in our community, which is stronger because of the countless acts of support you offer your child(ren) and our school each day.

I look forward to a summer of reflection, relaxation, and growth, and I look forward, soon enough, to welcoming you back to Crossroads for the 2018-19 school year.

With great expectations,
