Crossroads marked Pride Week with color, creativity, and care—highlighting the values of inclusivity and student voice that define our community. Organized by the Gender & Sexuality Alliance (GSA), the week-long celebration brought energy and visibility to the experiences and histories of LGBTQIA+ people while building a joyful, affirming space for all students.
The building itself became a canvas for celebration, with rainbow streamers, balloons, pennants, and window art adorning common areas. Dress-up days encouraged playful self-expression and school spirit, while informational tabling throughout the week shared zines, stickers, and resources with peers.
Students also hosted a button-making workshop, filled the halls with music from a pride playlist, and brought the community together through one of the week’s biggest hits—a queer-themed trivia competition, complete with rainbow candy prizes and lots of cheering.
At Crossroads, Pride Week is just one part of a broader, ongoing commitment to making school a safe and supportive space for students of all identities. Through efforts like this, our students lead the way in showing what community, celebration, and solidarity can look like in action.
