Today was the first day of school and what a wonderful day it was!
We couldn’t be more excited to be in community with all of you. A few highlights as we begin the academic year:
- Our Middle School is the largest it’s been in several years, which is a wonderful challenge to have! We’ve moved lockers and shifted schedules and created plans to ensure that our 7th and 8th grade students start the year off feeling seen and known and welcome. When we are comfortable, we can open ourselves to deeper learning and more academic challenges.
- A group of staff and volunteers have begun working with the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) in a process called Reimagining Tuition, to identify pricing and affordability realities and opportunities for our tuition and fees.
- Our ISACS Accreditation process is in full-swing.
- We’re transitioning to a new school information system, MyCrossroads, which will modernize and streamline much of the data, record keeping, and communications that a thriving school must do.
We’re so grateful for all the good work ahead this year. Thank you for your continued support!
As we count our blessings, we are also aware of families, community partners (Maker District and Third Degree Glass), and independent school neighbors (New City School) who suffered damage from recent flooding. While we have reached out in small ways, please let us know if you have ideas about how else we can be helpful.
