Double Rainbow Fall Festival has its roots in a campout theme, in which each advisory sets up a camp on the green space (or indoor space given today’s weather) and provides a theme-based food and activity to be shared with the entire Crossroads community. This is boosted by both live music and a DJ, games, and the competition for awards in three categories. This is all done in the spirit of great fun, with imagination, and creativity. Student-centered planning provides the impetus for individual advisory activities, and the responsibility for set up and clean up is shared by all. Double Rainbow Fall Festival has become the first quarter community activity, one that fosters school spirit and camaraderie and celebrates the end of the academic quarter. Now in its fifth year, Double Rainbow has become a school tradition, one of many traditions that make Crossroads unique.
