Bring your family and friends to Crossroads Trivia Night February 13th

Have you ever wondered what to do with all of that useless information you’ve acquired?  Looking for a fun way to spend a winter evening?  Then come to Crossroads College Prep’s annual trivia night.  You can read the flyer here or keep reading for the FAQs:

What is trivia night?

Trivia night is a contest for teams of 8.  There are ten rounds of general knowledge trivia, consisting of 10 questions each round.  Categories could include movies, sports, literature, history, etc.  Each team writes down its answers each round, and the team with the most answers correct at the end of the night wins.

When is it?

On Saturday, February 13th, the doors will open at 6:15 pm and the trivia starts at 7:00 pm.  The evening typically ends around 10:00 pm.

Are there prizes?

Yes!  There are cash prizes for first, second, and third place.  In addition, we have a special “sweet” prize for he best decorated table displaying a Valentines Day theme.  There is also a 50:50 cash raffle, with the drawing to be held towards the end of the evening.

I am not that great at trivia.  What else happens that evening?

Trivia night is also a night to gather with family and friends.  There are complimentary beverages and snacks, but many people bring food to share and make a night of it.  We also have a silent auction with great items, door prizes, and a few side games to play.

How does the school benefit from Trivia Night?

The proceeds of Trivia Night support the Linda Russ Memorial Fund.  Our state and nationally-ranked chess team uses this to provide scholarship support so that all players can attend tournaments, including Nationals.  Bringing your family and friends also introduces them to our school.

How much does Trivia Night cost?

The cost is $25 per person, or $200 for a team of 8.

I don’t have a full table of 8 friends.  Can I still play?

Yes,  we will help assemble full tables.

How do I register?

At this time, you may submit the attached form with a check, payable to “Crossroads College Prep” to Howard at the school.  Or, email your form to howard@crossroadscollegeprep.org and pay at the door.  We may soon have additional payment methods available.

Anything else I should know?

Attendees tell us our trivia night is one of the best in the St. Louis area.  The MC, Kevin Carbery, has been doing this for many years.  He writes a good mix of hard, medium, and easy questions and keeps the night moving along.  You will have a great time, so join us this year and bring your friends!   Contact howard@crossroadscollegeprep.org if you have any questions we haven’t answered here.
