Collaborative Course Design: 5th Day 2024-25

We hope as 5th Day evolves, courses will continue to be more and more student-led and student-designed. This semester, we’ve centered student interest and input in the course development process.

Students completed a survey with questions like “What kind of business would you start?” and “What issues do you really care about?” and voted on course options inspired by their responses. In an afternoon design thinking session, students began course planning alongside teachers, researching and proposing possible partnerships, site visits, and course learning goals. We can’t wait to see what interesting courses arise out of this collaborative process!
