Crossroads Takes Home Two Trophies at Sperreng
The ninth grade and under team of Emanuel Gerbi, Joey Blank, Parker Lake, and Mystik Stargod won its division at the Gateway Board tournament, held December 6th at Sperreng Middle School. Emanuel finished with a perfect 6-0 record for first place overall, and Joey placed second.
In the high school division, Matthew Larson went undefeated on board 1 to pace the team to a fourth place finish. Nyla Long finished fourth on board 4, earning her first trophy on the high school team. Andrew Kowalkowski, Jonathan Lake, LaVaughn Caradine, and David Dong rounded out the team.

Attendance at State, plus three additional tournaments (or their equivalent in weekday matches), is required to attend Nationals in Columbus, Ohio next spring.

Thanks to Heather Lake for helping shuttle our students to McKinley CJA. The date of the awards presentation is not yet determined.
The Thursday Gateway League will start January 15th. There will be a one time cost of $10. We will depart from Crossroads at 4:00 pm. All matches take place at Wydown Middle School. An additional parent driver is requested for each match. Please contact Howard for details.

Upper school matches take place on Wednesdays, immediately after school. An additional parent driver is requested for away matches.
