Trivia Night is this weekend!
The setup crew should be at school by 2:30 pm on Saturday. Students and those helping out for the evening should be at school by 5:00 pm, wearing your blue chess shirts. Please watch your email for additional details.
Next tournament is February 20th at Saint Louis University, Center for Global Citizenship
This is a 6 round action tournament (short time control)
Depart from Crossroads: 7:30 AM (sharp)
Tournament ends: 6:30 pm, with an awards ceremony. Return to school around 7:15 pm. Players may be picked up early at SLU by 6:30 pm.
Cost of tournament: There are no tournament registration fees this year for our players, but USCF membership is required. Players must either show proof of membership or purchase membership at the tournament.
There will be a limited supply of $11 memberships while supplies last. I suggest students bring cash for payment, in case these run out.
Standard membership prices:
ages 16 and up: $26.00 (add extra $7 for Chess Life Magazine)
ages 13 to 15: $22.00 (add $7 for Chess Life)
under 13: $17.00 (add $7 for Chess Life)
Middle School/9th grade chess this Thursday at Wydown
All matches are played at Wydown Middle School. Drivers needed. We will leave Crossroads at 4 pm and return around 6:30 pm. Players may be picked up at Wydown by 6:00 pm.
High school varsity league schedule/results
All matches are on Wednesday. Home matches begin between 3:30 and 4 pm. We depart for away matches at 3:15 pm. Please contact Howard if you can help drive for any away match.
