Plus Portals

adminUncategorized

We have officially transitioned to the new Plus Portals system. Plus Portals provides a more modern product than our previous Edline system, which is being phased out. It also unifies various school systems and databases helping to improve communication between the students, parents, teachers and other school staff. With any new system, there will be a learning curve for us all. Needless to day, we are very excited about this transition and the improved functionality!
Next Steps for Getting Started with Plus Portals
1. Activate your Plus Portals account
On August 1st, students and parents were sent an email with the instructions for how to sign into your new portal account. As of this morning, 60% of parents/guardians have activated their accounts and 70% of students have activated their accounts. Please check your email and activate your account. If you do not see the email from August 1st, check your SPAM folder.
2. Bookmark the site for easy access: https://www.plusportals.com/crossroadscps

3. Opt into the directory
One of the nice functions for the new portals is the access to a school directory. All families will need to opt into the directory and determine which contact information they would like to have shared.
To do this, click on “Directory Listing” from the drop down menu next to your name in the upper right-hand corner. Then check the box “List my information in the school directory”, and select which contact information you would like to have included. Make sure to save your changes.
4. Explore the new system
The Plus Portals is very user friendly. Click through each of the tabs to get a sense of what information you will have access to during the school year. Please note that there will be much more information to see once school begins and teachers add details for their courses. For now, just become oriented to the homepage and major sections. By clicking on the help button in the upper right-hand corner you can access documents and videos that offer support.  In fact, you can click here to view the video tutorials for students and parents.
5. Edline accounts will be disabled by the first day of school.  If you would like to keep any grade reports from the last school year, we ask that you save or print those immediately.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our School Director, Kim Townsend (kim@crossroadscollegeprep.org).
