As the seasons change and our basketball teams get prepared for the winter months, there was some movement in our conference landscape. Maplewood-Richmond Heights High School, which departed the South Central Athletic Association in 2012, applied for reinstatement to the conference beginning in the 2016-17 school year. After several meetings with conference administrators, the group voted to allow MRH to return to our conference. They will compete in all of our conference sports, with the exception of Boys’ Basketball, beginning next school year.
We are pleased with this development since MRH has always fit in well with the SCAA. Many of our teams have maintained a fierce yet friendly rivalry with MRH and we look forward to welcoming them back to the SCAA.
