St. Louis Area Chinese Karaoke Competition people singing into microphones

Crossroads College Preparatory School was proud to host the 2023 St. Louis Area Chinese Karaoke Competition!

Students of Mandarin Chinese across the St. Louis Area are invited to participate by learning to sing a Chinese song and creating a music video of their vocal performance.

Submissions will be judged based on performance, pronunciation, and creative depiction of the singer's interpretation of the song (through body language or creative video editing, for example).

Awards

The top 5 finalists will prepare a second song to perform at a live event on April 16, 2023.
1st Place: $300
2nd Place: $200
3rd Place: $100
All entrants will receive a participation prize.

Parent/Guardian Permission Required

All students under the age of 18 must have a signed permission form to be eligible to participate. Download this PDF permission form and have a parent or guardian fill it out. You can upload your completed forms when you sign up or email them to Diana.

Contest Dates

Contest begins January 9, 2023.
Submit your video no later than February 27, 2023.
Voting begins March 1, 2023.
Winners will be announced March 17, 2023.
Live event (details to come) April 16, 2023.

Join us as we celebrate our finalists. They will each perform a second karaoke song live to compete for cash prizes.
