State and Nationals

Both State and Nationals fall during spring break this year.  State is a day-long trip on March 19th, and Nationals will be in Atlanta this year from March 30th (corrected date)-April 4thPlease check your email for all the details.  In order to attend Nationals, students must participate in 3 tournaments, plus the Missouri State Championships.

Gateway Spring Open This Weekend

The Gateway Spring Open will be held at Wydown Middle School (all ages welcome to play).  We do not take a bus to this tournament. Students need to meet at Wydown by 8 am.

Tournament ends: 5:30 pm, with an awards ceremony.  All players should be picked up by 6:15 pm.

Cost of tournament: There are no tournament registration fees this year for our players, but USCF membership is required.

High school varsity league schedule/results

Our season ended this week with a first round playoff loss to John Burroughs.  Thanks to everyone who participated this year:  Rock Jia, Emanuel Gerbi, David Dong, Nyla Long, Yossi Rovinsky, LaVaughn Caradine, Sarah Crawford, Doug Koller, Homer Dula, Andrew Guest, Sara Clark, and Harbor Wolff

Crossroads finished the season with a 5-4 record overall.  Awards will be presented in May at the annual Gateway Chess League Banquet.
