Crossroads Middle Schoolers win Pattonville Tournament
Congratulations to the 8th grade and under team of Ernie McCarter, Harbor Wolff, Ben Clair, Russell Bigham, and Jacob Plax for winning their division in the Gateway Team Tournament held last Saturday. Ernie medalled on board 1, Ben won first place on board 3, and Russell won first place on board 4. In the high school section, Nyla Long won third place on board 2 and Homer Dula won third place on board 3. Finally, in the individual section, LaVaughn Caradine medalled with a 3-1 record. Our other players put in a solid team effort: Emanuel Gerbi, Jonathan Lake, Joey Blank, Sarah Crawford, Andrew Guest, Blake Fondren, Isaac Lake, Parker Lake, and Nick Babusis. Thank you coaches Michael and Bryan for helping out with game analysis.

Trivia night is our major fundraiser for the year. If you have not already signed up to help, collected a group of friends to play, or found a unique item to donate for the silent auction, now is the time to do so. Please check your email for important announcements about this fun event.
Middle School/9th grade chess this Thursday at Wydown
All matches are played at Wydown Middle School. Drivers needed. We will leave Crossroads at 4 pm and return around 6:30 pm. Players may be picked up at Wydown by 6:00 pm.
High school varsity league schedule/results
All matches are on Wednesday, except for the February 1 makeup match. Home matches begin between 3:30 and 4 pm. We depart for away matches at 3:15 pm (2:45 for Alton, Belleville West). Please contact Howard if you can help drive for any away match.
