Crossroads has a great showing at Lindbergh
The Crossroads College Prep Chess Team finished strong at the recent Gateway Fall Open at Lindbergh High School. The high school team was paced by 9th grader Emanuel Gerbi to a 2nd place team finish. Manny finished 6th overall with three wins and one draw. Teammates David (Jiacheng) Dong and Evan (Yuchuan) Chen earned medals with their 3-1 records. We also had strong performances from Nyla Long, Blake Fondren, and newcomer Andrew Guest.
In the 8th grade and under section, Ben Clair medalled with 3 1/2 points out of 5. Jacob Plax and Harbor Wolff each earned two tough wins. Great job everyone!
