The AMC 8 is a 25-question, 40-minute, multiple choice examination in middle school mathematics designed to promote the development and enhancement of problem-solving skills (www.maa.org).
A hearty thank you to all our seventh and eighth graders who took the AMC 8 math test back in November. The MAA sent us the results. Drum roll please. This year in seventh grade, Russel Bigham came in first, Catherine Birch in second, and Nicholas Babusis and Nya Steward tied for third. In eighth grade, Ashley King and Bryce Ingersoll tied for top honors, and there was a six-way tie for second place!
