Abstraction in Drawing and Painting class visited the Contemporary Art Museum last week for a tour of recent exhibits featuring Joe Goode, Ulla von Brandenburg, Toyin Odutola, and Barnaby Furnas. Students were engaged and interested in the expressive and technical variety generated by each artist’s perspective, and they easily recognized how it impacted their work. The exhibits allowed the class to experience firsthand the depth, courage, and creativity behind minimalist Contemporary art.
